Privacy Policy for Pressure Relay

Overview

Pressure Relay ("the App") reads blood-pressure measurements, and the pulse recorded with them, from Apple Health on your iPhone and sends the readings you choose to your Garmin Connect account. The App does not write anything to Apple Health.

The App has no account system, no analytics, no advertising, and no database of its own. Nothing you measure is sent anywhere except to Garmin Connect, and only when you tap Sync.

Data processed on the device

• Blood-pressure correlations (systolic and diastolic values) and heart-rate samples from the Apple Health sources you allow, within the history window you select.
• The names and bundle identifiers of the apps that saved those readings to Apple Health, used only to let you pick a source.
• Garmin Connect session data, stored in the iOS Keychain, so you do not have to sign in every time.
• A local sync history (values, timestamps, source name, and result) so the App can show what was sent and avoid sending the same reading twice.
• A local counter of free syncs used before purchase, stored in the Keychain.
• A local count of successful syncs used only to decide when to ask for an App Store review.

Data the App does not collect

• The App does not send measurements to servers operated by the App.
• The App does not use analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking SDKs.
• The App does not sell personal data.
• The App does not share data with anyone except Garmin Connect, and only when you initiate a sync.

Third-party services

Apple Health (optional)

The App requests read access to blood pressure and heart rate only after you tap "Apple Health" in Setup. Access is read-only. You can revoke it at any time in the Health app under Sharing → Apps.

Our hosting

At Garmin sign-in the App fetches a small configuration file from our Firebase Hosting site. The request carries no personal data or health data; the hosting provider records standard access logs (such as IP address and time).

Garmin Connect (optional)

When you sign in, your Garmin credentials are sent directly to Garmin's sign-in service; the App never stores your password. The resulting session token is kept in the Keychain and used only to check for duplicates and to send the readings you select. Readings sent to Garmin are then governed by Garmin's privacy policy. You can disconnect Garmin in Settings, which removes the session from this device.

Pressure Relay is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Garmin or Apple. Garmin and Garmin Connect are trademarks of Garmin Ltd.

App Store

Purchases are handled by Apple's App Store. The App checks your purchase status through StoreKit and never sees payment details.

Data deletion

• Deleting the App removes its sync history, settings, and Keychain entries.
• "Clear Sync History" in Settings removes the local history immediately.
• Readings already sent to Garmin Connect remain in your Garmin account and can be deleted there.
• Apple Health data belongs to you and is never modified by the App.

Pressure Relay transports measurements. It does not interpret readings, assess risk, or provide medical advice. Talk to a healthcare professional about your blood pressure.

Children's privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
